Breanna's new favorite game... Jumparoo!

Aprilyn sent me this cute little video of Breanna playing in the Jumparoo. I thought it was really cute (kind of grainy/blurry). Enjoy!

New Player in our game plans

We had an eventful weekend. Julie decided that it was time that we found someone else to watch the kids. I had kind of felt like it was coming for a while now but still very stressful news. I told her that I was grateful that she has watched them for as long as she had but inside I was dying. I didn't know anyone that would be able to watch the kids. I thought that I would have to possibly quit my job and find something that I could do from home. When I am home I just love to play with my kids so I didn't know how well it would work out with me working from home. Needless to say I was just sick over this thought all day. Then my prayers were answered.

Aprilyn is our stake scout leaders and I have been bugging her about some of Burton's scout stuff. She graciously decided to personally come over to get him set up with a few things that night after I got the news from Julie earlier in the day. She happened to ask how I was doing... I opened my big mouth (which lately has been really big and vocal lately... not sure why... I will possibly blog about that subject later) and told her that I was stressing cause my sitter is not going to watch the kids anymore. Aprilyn said she would watch them. I was in shock! I felt a wave of relief come over me and we worked out all the details and VOILA and she is now "The New Player in our game plan".

It has been a blessing in both family's lives in so many ways that I will not list them all here. But Aprilyn has a couple of boys around the same age as our boys and everyone seems to get along very well. Everything came together so well that I don't think that I could have even planned it that way if I wanted to.

Thank you, Aprilyn!

Advent Calendar

I created this advent calendar for the Super-Saturday activity that my LDS ward puts on every year. I think it turned out really cute, I was kind of bummed out that it took everyone the entire time to put it together. I tried really hard to make it as easy as possible for them to put together. I cut out all of the paper, stamped everything, and put them in little packets. It took me an entire week to get all of that done. With all that work, only a few of them that started this project first got it done. I have a group of ladies that still need to make theirs. I will be doing an extra class for those that didn't get finished. But I thought you would all love to see my project.

FYI - This is how you make it... Take a mini muffin tin, several sheets of cardstock and various trinkets, brads, ribbon, buttons, glue, 8 feet of magnets and throw them all together... and VOILA! Oh and just so you know I am painting my tin black. When you are finished you can put treats, spiritual thoughts, reference to a story book to read, pretty much anything you can think of that will fit in that little space for that day.

Isn't it CUTE?!

Playing with designs

I have been playing with this blog for a while. I have been playing with different gadgets, adding music and trying to get a fun look. Let me know which one has been your favorite. I have had about 4 or 5 different looks. ranging from supper gaggy pink to more boy friendly reds and blues to the current purple diamonds. But I will probably keep changing it. Just like to know what everyone else thinks.

I love comments from everyone that reads or views or secretly stocks my site. I guess if you want to remain secret then I can respect that but I love to hear from everyone even if it is just a "Hey" or "I am stocking you" or "This chick is off her rocker!"

Please talk to me I get lonely!!!

Tag, tag, and more tags to come...

Ok, I am still a slacker. But thanks to my friend Judy, I am able to atleast do something. She tagged me (my first official tag) and I figured it looked like fun so here it goes.

Here's how this one works: For each question, look up the answer on Google image search. Then choose your favorite image from the FIRST PAGE OF RESULTS ONLY. I've tagged Four people below... and I'll be watching for your posts!

Yikes, I want to note that you should make sure you have your Google SafeSearch set to Strict. I didn't have that when I searched my name and there were some very inappropriate things that came into view. I quickly fixed that, but to save you eyes, I am giving you a warning.

Name: Candace (Aren't I cute?)

Favorite Food: Sushi (Double thumbs up for sushi... YUMMY!)

First Job: Garden Nursery Worker ( I liked that job except it was tough work)

Nickname: Candy (I like this picture), Candybum (Watchout, don't mess with me), Candacetealeaves (A nickname my grandpa gave me), Cindis (No idea?), Mom, Mama, Honey (this is what Ron calls me), Shug (John you still need to call me!)

Where I was born: Utah

Bad Habit: None, I am practically perfect in every way. Just kidding, I crack my knuckles, giving advice when not being asked for it, clicking my pen, there are a ton of bad habits that I have. But who doesn't have any... Mary Poppins?

College Degree: Temporarily on hold (maybe after the kids grow up a bit)

Where I want to go: Hawaii, Australia, Everywhere (need I say more)

Favorite place: San Francisco (don't know who this guy is but I absolutely love this city. This is where Ron and I went on our honeymoon)

Favorite Color: Red

Favorite Animal: Hippo (aren't they cute?)

Past Love: Brian Debes (LOL, I picked Brian because he already knows that I had a crush on him growing up, there would be an actual picture of him show up in the search, and he is my friend now and can take it. Right Brian?)

What I am doing right now: Blushing (just a bit from the last comment, just remembering the past)

Where I live: Utah

Favorite Object: I am not really a lover of objects... so maybe my house even though I want a bigger one with an extra bathroom!

Gandma's Name: Donna, Barbara, Colleen (non of these pictures mean anything, they were just as random as I could get)

Age: 29

OK now it is your turn... I think I will actually tag people this time so if your name is below I will be watching for your tag... If your name is not below just know that I will get you next time or feel free to do this one anyway.

Why I've not been playing THIS game lately.

I have been inspired by my friend, Amy! She wrote in one of her blogs "Maybe blogging about not blogging will help me start blogging again?"

And with that let the game proceed....

1. Set-up - I would much rather write about a story when I have cute pictures of my family and friends to go along with the story. I know that the pictures are the main reason why everyone even looks at my blog to begin with. Now now... don't lie to yourselves... it is true! I know you like to read the stories but it is aways more fun with pictures. I have pictures from this summer but I only have access to the computer at work (see #2) and I keep forgetting to take the camera AND the adapter to load all of my new pictures onto the computer.

2. On your turn - I only have access to the computer at my work for the moment. I am at work and being at work I feel like I must actually do some form of work while I am there. Downloading and blogging about personal pictures does not constitute work at least in my book. So I must blog on breaks and lunch or in the unlikely case I get everything done and am just sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

3. First Player (Family) - My family has been taking a big hit on my spare time. Breanna was sick for a couple weeks. Cameron has recently gotten sick, again. Cameron's surgery, doesn't feel like summer unless someone is having some sort of surgery. Ron works a lot so I am trying to fill the nice wife roll in keeping the house clean, making dinners, tending our gardens, playing and otherwise entertaining the children.

4. Second Player (Church) - No I am not complaining about my callings... I love my calling but they do take up a lot of what used to be spare time. I got put in as YW secretary a few months ago so I am trying to get the book work together so that it will make things easier. I make up monthly handouts. I go to all of the activities. I went to Girls camp last week and loved it!!! I am also part of the Enrichment Committee and Super Saturday is coming up fast.

5. Instructions - Reading, reading and more reading. I have been reading a ton lately. This is not the usual way I spend my spare time but I have really been into books over the past year or two. I just finished Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. I have also been reading The Chronicles of Narnia books by C. S. Lewis. Plus I have discovered the public library as I once had as a child. I discovered how everything is online now and that I can make a list of books that I want to read and even put a hold on the ones that are out (yes, I realize that this has been around since the dawn of time but hey it is better late then never to learn right?). I am currently waiting to get my hands on The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull, Fablehaven by Brandon Mull and The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale.

6. Winning the game - I feel the most important is not to always whine while writing. I like my blog to be fun and uplifting, with just a few spots of down time to even it out. Our family has been taking a few financial hits lately and that has been weighing heavily on my mind. I hate to whine and whine and whine about my life. This is my life and I love it! I just feel like that stress is on my mind so much that it might come out in my writing as whining. Everyone everywhere seems to be hurting in this economy and I guess I am a little freaked about that. Those of you who have known me forever know what a saver and planner of the future I am. I hate not being able to put money away each month. I hate not being able to splurge on some fun stuff for our family like a computer, internet, cable, toys or something as small as eating out or going to the movies. OK now I feel like I am starting to whine so I am going to stay positive and say that it won't last forever! Things will get better!

OK well now you know why THIS game has not been proceeding as it should. Wish me luck. I will try better. NOW, LET THE GAMES BEGIN... AGAIN!

Slacking Big Time!

I feel like I have been slacking big time on my postings. I have decided that I would just slap on some random pictures of my kids and maybe Ron if I have a good one. I think I even have one of myself though not a good one. Just some of my favorites in no particular order. So without further delay...

Breanna was hanging at Grandma Cheri's for the day. This one is cute... it showes how chubby her thighs are. I love it. Plus this is one of my favorite onsies.

Cameron just being Cameron. Snapped this one with my cell phone. kind of grainy but still cute.

Burton and Me riding the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disneyland. We rode this ride more than once.

Yes another photo with me in it... I told you they weren't good but I figured that it is my blog so I better be on here somewhere. This was at my little nephew Eddie's 1st Birthday Party.

Burton at his 2nd grade school dance program.

Breanna cheesin' it up.

Burton Cheesin' it up.

Cameron hanging out watching Saturday morning catoons with Peter the spider turtle.

Ron, also cheesin' it up for the camera.
